Relief Shop Manager

 

Job Title:                                             Relief Shop Manager
Working Hours:                      37.5
hrs hours per week
Salary:                                     
£16,413 - £17675 per annum (pro rata) subject to 2018/19 pay review
Responsible/Accountable to:
Deputy Shops Managers

 

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is committed to providing the people of Oldham and surrounding areas with high quality palliative and end of life care in their preferred place.

 

To support this offering, we have been generating a much needed regular income stream via our Retail Shops around the Oldham area.


In summary this post will:

Provide cover for Shop Managers for holiday periods, sickness absence, training and regular days off.

 

Be responsible for the organisation and management of the shops during cover periods, ensuring that they run effectively and to the maximum benefit of the Hospice.


The successful candidate will have:

-       GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths or equivalent experience

-       Retail experience in a charity or commercial shop.

-       Able to understand and maintain basic financial, sales, and stock control records.

-       Able to work as part of a team.

-       Able to work on own initiative and be flexible in approach.

-       Driving license and own transport

Maintenance Assistant

 

Job Title:                                             Maintenance Assistant
Working Hours:                      15
hrs hours per week  (Tuesday & Thursdays)
Salary:                                     
£16,905 - £18,205 per annum (pro rata)
Responsible/Accountable to:
Facilities Officer

 

In summary this post will:

To provide an effective and efficient multi-skilled repair and maintenance service to a high quality within the Hospice and retail shops. To provide annual on-going maintenance to the Hospice and shops.

 

Support the retail shops with ongoing competent Portable Appliance Testing for sale of electrical items and maintain appropriate records.


The successful candidate will have:

-       Proven 3 years’ experience of Maintenance

-       PAT testing certificate (desirable – training will be provided if required)

-       Basic IT skills including use of databases

-       Good communication skills

-       Able to work as part of a team.

-       Able to work on own initiative and be flexible in approach.

-       Driving license and own transport
