This volunteer role supports the operation of our shops, with the purpose of maximising sales, profitability and the positive perception of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.  Our shop volunteers tell us they enjoy the fantastic teamwork at the stores and knowing that everything they raise supports patient care.  This can be a physically demanding and fast paced role as it includes sorting and pricing goods, moving stock, merchandising and using a till.

Volunteers are also being actively recruited for our shops at Oldham, Shaw, Chadderton and in Royton Precinct.

If you would like to join our friendly shops volunteer team, please contact us for a shops application form by either popping into the shop you’re interested in or contacting Vicky Richardson or Jacqui Adams at the hospice on 0161 624 2727.

We have lots of events throughout the year when we need extra help. Typical events are: Sales Stalls at outside events; acting as Marshalls at events, helping to organise events; selling tickets; distributing posters; bucket/can collections. It could include working early mornings and late evenings, as well as weekends, on an ad-hoc basis.
