Rose to Remember

Celebrate your loved ones with a rose that blooms forever

In April 2022 we launched our new Rose to Remember Appeal, asking the community to dedicate a beautiful rose plaque to their loved ones. Supporters kindly gave donations alongside their dedications, which will contribute to our patients' care here at Dr Kershaw's Hospice. Over 400 rose plaques were dedicated to remember those you have lost and your kindness and generosity was displayed in all its beauty on Sunday 3rd July at our Rose to Remember Open Garden Day.

We were delighted with the turnout at our Rose to Remember Open Garden Day on Sunday 3rd July, which saw over 300 members of the local community visit our Hospice to support us.

We are thrilled that the Rose to Remember Appeal and Open Garden Day raised over £8,000 for our Hospice!

Thank you so much to every single one of you who supported our Appeal and attended our event!

It was so nice to see the Hospice back open to our community, and the event had such a lovely atmosphere. Everyone was happy, smiling and enjoyed the day. We had Dr Kershaw's Hospice Choir performing, giant outdoor games to keep the children and the 'big' children entertained, cream tea, our Hospice Gin on sale, Name the Bear, a raffle and so many other stalls! We hope those of you who were able to make the event enjoyed it!

Thank you to our volunteers who supported at the event, to the Co-op for their dedicated support with the Rose to Remember Appeal and event, to Booths Garden Centre for their donation of plants, to Park Cakes for their help with the cake stand, to Kershaw's Krafties for their fantastic craft stall, to Dr Kershaw's Choir for their amazing harmonies and Barry from Conexus Tuition for lending us the outdoor target game! We couldn't do it all without you!

Collecting Your Rose to Remember Plaque

You can still collect your plaque from the Hospice if you didn't do so on the allocated days. We have your plaque ready for you, and our reception is open, Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm for collection.

We understand that not everyone will be able to pick up their plaque from the Hospice. With this in mind, we
will be happy to post your plaque/s to you at a small P&P charge.

Contact: or phone 0161 624 9984 for more information.

Please bring with you the name and the postcode used when you made your order.

Please note that the bottom of the plaques will be slightly marked due to the soil after being planted and on display at our Rose to Remember Open Garden Day.

SAVE THE DATE: The 2023 Rose to Remember Open Garden Day will be taking place on Sunday 2nd July 2023.
