Congratulations to our 2022 hikers who did incredible and raised an amazing amount of money for our Hospice!
Starting and finishing your hiking tour in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, in picturesque Horton-in-Ribblesdale, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge starts early to take on a full-day hill walk. The circular route is around 24 miles (39km) and will see you climb to the summits of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). The challenge is to complete the walk within 12 hours and qualified and experienced guides will be with you every step of the way.
Training Walks: The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is not a stroll in the park – it’s a serious challenge walk through rough terrain with some scrambling and rocky areas to negotiate. It is imperative that every participant has a good level of fitness and trains to take on the Y3P Challenge.
With this in mind, we will organise local training walks before the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, which will give hikers a good grounding when it comes to what to expect of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
