Yorkshire Three Peaks 2021

Back by popular demand…the Adventure Based Learning, Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice!

Sign up today to take part in this 24 mile, 12 hours 3 peaks adventure and walk your way to making a difference to the patients in our care.

Starting and finishing your hiking tour of the in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, in picturesque Horton-in-Ribblesdale, this challenge starts early to take on a full-day hill walk. The circular route is around 24 miles (39km) and will see you climb to the summits of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). The challenge is to complete the walk within 12 hours and qualified and experienced guides will be with you every step of the way, as this experience is brought to you by Mark Hilton at Adventure Based Learning. www.adventurebasedlearning.org.uk.

  • Please note: We strongly advise that you attend both training walks however, it is mandatory that you attend at least one as it is essential that Mark Hilton is able to assess your levels of fitness in terms of being able to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.

  • The following terms and conditions are mandatory, please read carefully and if in agreement, tick the box below.
  • This is an Adventure Based Learning event and therefore covered by Adventure Based Learning’s Public Liability Insurance.
  • Before taking part in this challenge and/or training walk, I will make Mark Hilton of Adventure Based Learning (the event facilitator) aware of any significant situation or condition (including health conditions) that may have a bearing on my ability to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the associated training walk (The Saddleworth 3 Peaks). This should include allergies both environmental and food allergies so that fellow participants can be advised.   • This event is open to adults aged 18 year or overs. This event and the training walk are subject to postponement due to changes to the Covid 19 restrictions.
  • I agreed to raise funds through sponsorship by taking part in this event and understand that all the funds raised will be donated as a contribution to patient care at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
  • Registration fees refund/transfers:
  • If this event is postponed for whatever reason, my registration fees will be transferrable to the rearranged date. Should I cancel my entry, my registration fee is non-refundable. I understand that this is a physically demanding challenge event and that should Adventure Based Learning deem my level of fitness not to be appropriate to start or continue the challenge, they have the right to ask me to leave the challenge event for my safety and the safety of my fellow walkers. In the event of my fitness levels not being deemed appropriate to start either the training walk or the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, my registration fee is transferable. If I start the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge but I am unable to complete the full hike, my registration fee is neither transferable nor refundable.
