Dear Supporters,
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our Hospice Shop, Hill Stores. This decision was not made lightly, but unfortunately, the location has not provided the footfall or passing trade we had hoped for, and has been operating at a loss for our Hospice. In order to focus our resources effectively, we believe it’s in the best interest of the organisation to concentrate on our other Hospice shops, which continue to play a crucial role in supporting patient care at our Hospice and our mission.
We would like to reassure everyone that this closure has not resulted in any job losses. Our Shop Manager, along with our dedicated volunteers have been redeployed within our Retail Team, ensuring that no one is left without a role. We are deeply grateful for their hard work and commitment to Hill Stores.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the local community and businesses who have supported Hill Stores throughout its time. While this location hasn’t been the right fit, our commitment to the community remains unwavering. We hope you will continue to support us by donating goods and shopping with us at our other stores, which are vital in funding the compassionate care and support our Hospice provides.
We are working closely with our staff and volunteers to make this transition as seamless as possible, always keeping the needs of our community and our Hospice at the forefront of our efforts.
Thank you for your understanding, and for your continued support as we move forward together.
Kind regards,
Adele Doherty
