Thank you for taking an interest in volunteering for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
We are actively recruiting volunteers to support us in our Shops. If you could give a few hours each week our volunteer team would love to hear from you. Safety equipment will be provided such as masks and gloves and we will be happy to discuss the safety measures we have in place for all of our volunteers.’ Due to the current situation with Coronavirus, we do not have any roles available at the Hospice.
There are so many ways you can give your time. How about regular shifts at the hospice - whether on reception, serving refreshments, or even transporting patients. Or helping us raise money for patient care by assisting in one of our four shops or helping out at events? Whatever your reason for volunteering, there really is something to suit everyone – whether you’re a student looking to develop skills, hoping to get some experience to help you land a new job or are retired and want to use your time well to support a good cause.
Some of our volunteers have been with us for over 10 years and the variety of opportunities can make every day different. See some of our volunteers' stories below and see how they have been giving just a few hours and how they feel about their time with us at Dr Kershaw’s.
Our volunteers have been showcased nationally on the HelpForce website’s Wall of Fame, we are so proud of their achievements and their support for the Hospice, read more here…
