Staff Nurse - Nights (Band 5)

· Are you a Registered General Nurse with an interest in palliative and end of life care?

· Are you a team player with a strong work ethic?

· Do you have 12 months’ UK post registration work experience?

· Have you worked previously within a care setting?

· Can you work nights in the In-patient Unit (IPU)

· Do you drive/hold a full UK driving licence?

If you have the ability to:

· Provide a consistently high standard of palliative nursing care – keeping up the reputation of the Hospice at night

· Sensitively, care for patients and their families, respecting the privacy and dignity of the patient and their families at all times

· Plan, implement and evaluate patient care to formulate a comprehensive plan of care

· Communicate well both verbally with your patient and their family / loved ones and also have the ability to document clear and concise notes

We are expanding our nursing team and have night shifts available with full and part time positions considered. Night shift hours are 9.00 pm to 7.30 am and include bank holidays. Some flexibility for occasional day shift work, will also be required. Day shift hours include evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Hospice Trustees

We are currently recruiting new voluntary members to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee you will have the opportunity to shape the vision and future planning of the Hospice and to be able to make a real difference in your local community.

Healthcare Assistant – Caring Hands

· Do you have experience of working within Healthcare or Caring for others?

· Have you worked alone or in a team within the Community?

· Can you work flexible hours – days/evenings

· Do you drive/hold a full UK manual driving licence?

If you have the ability to:

· Provide a consistently high standard of palliative nursing care – keeping up the reputation of the Hospice

· Sensitively, care for clients and their families in their own homes, respecting the privacy and dignity of the client and their families at all times

· Communicate well both verbally with your client and their family but also in writing to the Home Care Coordinator/Lead Nurse
