Head of Retail

· Do you have strong retail knowledge and experience of developing business plans and budgets?

· Can you actively engage with retail managers ensuring delivery against KPI’s and targets?

· Are you keen to build the best relationships at work and with members of the public?

· Can you drive income generation activities across the wider team to increase overall Hospice income and identify market gaps and new opportunities?

· Are you enthusiastic and self-motivated and enjoy leading and managing a team?

If you have the ability to:

· Use your IT skills to manage data on retail systems and apply your legal knowledge in relation to retail premises and operations

· Work with and to a range of financial and non-financial KPI’s

· Adapt to changing priorities and juggle multiple tasks and manage project work

· Problem solve and think creatively

· Maintain up to date knowledge of the retail market and activities of other charitable organisations   

· Build relationships, working sensitively on behalf of the Hospice

A major part of the role is liaising with teams across the Hospice and communicating effectively with our external audiences, at all levels, to raise our profile.

A major part of our income is supported by our retail activity through our Shops. Our plans for the next 5 years to meet our strategic objectives include further growth following the construction of a new Inpatient Unit, and we are looking to take our Retail operation to the next level and increase our turnover whilst continuing to serve our community.

Digital Marketing Co-ordinator

· Can you lead on external branding and messaging for campaigns and events to generate income?

· Can you prioritise and manage your time to support an annual calendar of fundraising events?

· Can you communicate in a fun and engaging manner to grow our external Hospice supporters and raise the profile of the Hospice?

If you have the ability to:

· Communicate well both verbally and in writing creating engaging internal offline and digital communications

· Work to achieve clearly defined objectives and targets

· Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in all you do

· Meet income targets and KPIs

Health & Safety Facilities Manager

· Do you have experience of working in a fast paced environment, and in embedding a culture of effective health & safety?

· Can you not only ensure we meet current legislative requirements but plan for the development of our land, buildings and equipment infrastructure for the future ensuring work is undertaken to required HSE and Care Quality Commission (CQC)  standards?

· Do you have experience of liaising with and managing external contractors and suppliers, in a timely manner whilst being budget focused?

· Can you manage a varied team focused on providing a safe and healthy environment, across the Hospice and the highest level of care for our patients and their families?

· Do you hold a recognised Health & Safety qualification? (i.e. NEBOSH or equivalent)

If you have the ability to:

· Apply your knowledge to practically to manage and minimise risk and your financial acumen to manage operational budgets

· Communicate with a wide range of people

· Meet the team to meet deadlines whilst working accurately with attention to health & safety of others

· Coordinate key facilities and project management activities

· Promote a safe working culture

· Manage the annual planned maintenance for the Hospice property portfolio

Dr Kershaw's is looking for you!

The Hospice provides a high quality Health & Safety service to support and sustain the Hospice and its retail shops; its staff, patients, family members and visitors. This role will require a proactive individual to manage the delivery of the facilities service ensuring that our premises and grounds are fit for purpose. You will work with our staff and volunteers to ensure health and safety is embedded in our daily activities and that we are compliant with health and safety legislation.
