Volunteer Coordinator

(Part-Time)

· Do you have experience of delivering and developing a comprehensive and innovative volunteer programme?

· Have experience of leading on recruitment, induction and retention activities?

· Have you confidence and experience of managing a small team and in engaging with people?

· Can you develop partnerships -  working with other, local, voluntary sector and statutory bodies who are engaged in volunteer recruitment?

· Can you multi task – and manage your own workload?

· Are you able to work flexibly and have a keen eye for detail?

·  Are you enthusiastic and self-motivated

​​If you have the ability to:

· Plan and organise activities and events

· Work under pressure and meet targets, whilst managing a budget

· Communicate creatively, both in writing and verbally with a wide range of people

· Problem solve and think creatively - monitoring and evaluating projects, focusing on supporting and growing our team of volunteers

· Actively develop new volunteer services for the Hospice

· Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in all you do                                                   

A major part of all our services are supported by our volunteers and effective volunteer engagement is vital in this role to help make volunteering more widely available to our community and in developing the volunteer roles across the Hospice, helping to deliver planned and future initiatives in the department. To achieve all this, we need enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active people who are focused, with an attention to detail and who share our values.

This is a permanent, part-time role.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483  (pro rata &  dependent on experience)
