Families and friends flocked to our 2024 Summer Fayre, where we hosted stalls both inside our Hospice and in our beautiful gardens. In total, we raised a whopping £9,126!
Carnival games included hook-a-duck, roll-a-coin, tin-can alley, and a coconut shy. Children had a great time meeting our popular Hartley mascot and playing on the bouncy castles, helter-skelter and fire engine. Plus we had face painting and craft activities.
There was also some fun left for adults, who could enjoy the raffle and tombola, along with the craft, jewellery and plant stalls in the outdoor marquee. Food included pizzas, hot dogs, nachos, cakes and even a gin cocktail featuring the Hospice’s very own 1989 specialist gin.
Attendees were also treated to entertainment by DJ Mick Matthews and live music from the Pennine Mencap Rhodes Bank Choir and singer Denis Ferrige.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the event, we hope you had a lovely afternoon. And thank you to our Hospice volunteers, our neighbours and event sponsors, Booth’s Garden Centre, our corporate volunteers from Natwest, FRC Group and JLA Limited, Photographer Ken Rowlatt, DJ Mick Matthews, Singer Denis Ferrige, Pennine Mencap Rhodes Bank Choir, Greater Manchester Fire and Police Services, LLK Pizza Pros, BMS Event Medics, Kershaw's Krafties, our Independent Local Traders, and for the generous donations made by Warburtons, Tesco, Asda, B&M and Bidfood Royton. Your amazing support means so much to our Hospice, our patients and their loved ones across the community.
