Come together at our multi-faith service, to remember your loved ones and to celebrate the lives of those who are no longer with us, but are always in our thoughts,
whether they received care from our Hospice or not.

Virtual & In-Person Service: Sunday 1st December – 5pm

Join us at our special Light Up a Life service, taking place virtually and in-person at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice on Sunday 1st December at 5pm (gates will open at 4pm, 1 hour before the service), to remember your loved ones whilst supporting your local hospice.

It is our pleasure to be able to invite you to the Hospice for our in-person service, where we can stand side by side with each of you as our Light Up a Life dedication tree is poignantly lit, to remember each person we have lost, and hold dear to our hearts. Our 30-minute service will include readings and vocal performances, along with the switching on of our beautiful tree lights. Refreshments will be offered before and after the service and event merchandise will also be available. Please note, the car park will be closed for the event, with street parking available or you are able to park at Newbank Garden Centre (until 7.30pm when they lock their gates).

If you are unable to attend the in-person event at our Hospice, you will still be able to access the live service virtually via our Facebook and YouTube pages or on Oldham Community Radio 99.7FM. If you choose to tune in virtually, you can request a Light Up a Life at Home Pack, which includes:

• Instructions on how to view / listen to the service
• An Order of Service so you can follow the service
• A dedication card with your loved ones name
• A cut-out candle to personalise and hang somewhere special to you

If you attend our in-person service, you will receive a personalised dedication card with your loved ones name(s) along with a cut-out candle to personalise and hang somewhere special to you. You will also receive an Order of Service at the event.

Your Dedication in Memory of Your Loved Ones…

Your dedication, in memory of your loved one(s), will have a special place as a light on our beautiful tree whilst also supporting future patients and their families when they need our help the most. You will also be able to view your loved ones name(s) on-screen at the Hospice Reception, during our virtual service, on a star on one of our trees in the Hospice and in our special Book of Remembrance available at our in-person event and on our website.

Our Light Up A Life baubles are on sale at our Hospice Reception, and there will also be a limited number available at the event.
