If in doubt phone the store to ask if we can accept.
When you are donating your goods to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, please can you bring them into one of the Hospice shops, you can find their locations here. Please don’t leave your donations outside the shops as the Hospice can be fined by Oldham Council for fly tipping.
Normally we can provide a pick-up service for your donated goods if you are unable to get to one of our shops yourself. Unfortunately, at the moment due to Covid precautions and to safeguard our volunteers we are unable to offer this service. When we are able to do so in the future we will update you via the website.
For all large pieces of furniture and large electrical item donations please contact Charlie at the Big White Charity Van who will sell the items on our behalf.
Please remember to mention Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
Due to the current pandemic, this service may change. Please call Charlie on 0161 222 0808 or 07944 063 884 to check if the Big White Charity Van is operating normally.
Gift Aid is a scheme available to charities provided by HMRC. It means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate (money generated form your donated goods). By adding Gift Aid your donations are worth 25% more to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, at no extra cost to you!
That's as long as you’ve paid the basic rate of tax and make the donation from your own funds. You can easily sign up by completing a form at one of our shops when you are donating your goods. The staff in store will happily help you complete the form if you need help.
