On Friday 28th July, Dr Kershaw’s were delighted to welcome The High Sheriff of Greater Manchester, Mrs Mary-Liz Walker, to the Hospice. Hospice Chief Executive, Adele Doherty and Rebecca Bentham, Director of Income Development & Marketing greeted the High Sheriff and gave her a tour of the Hospice.
The High Sheriff said: “I’d like to thank everyone at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice for the kind invitation, warm welcome and generous hospitality. From the moment I arrived at the Hospice, I could see the dedication and commitment of every staff member to the care of their patients and patients’ families. The facilities, especially in the new wing, are second to none. The light, airy and calm environment envelopes patients in a cocoon of care at the most difficult time in their lives. Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is a beacon of comfort and light that touches and enriches so many of the Oldham communities it serves."
