We have a wide range of roles available, so if you have a few hours a week spare and would like to get involved please do consider applying, or getting in touch to discuss further.
Volunteers are an integral part of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and without them we wouldn’t be where we are today. We value each and every one of them, and their support makes such a big difference to our patients and their families.
Our volunteers support the Hospice for many different reasons, and whatever your reason for volunteering, we would love to hear from you - whether you’re a student looking to develop skills, hoping to get some experience to help you land a new job or are retired and want to use your time well to support a good cause.
There are so many ways for you to give your time. How about regular shifts at the Hospice - whether on reception, in our cafe, or as a gardener. You could help us to raise money for patient care by assisting in one of our four shops, our Furniture Hub or helping out at events.
We currently have over 360 volunteer and many of them have been with us for over 10 years. The variety of opportunities can make every day different.
The gift of your time and skills can make a huge impact, and just a few hours can make a real difference, not only to the hospice and the patients, but also to yourself. Whether you are looking to give something back, gain transferable skills or meet new people, there are endless ways you can get involved.
