Volunteer for Dr Kershaw’s

We have now been able to reintroduce most of our volunteers back into their roles in both retail and Hospice settings. We continue to take the safety of our volunteers very seriously and have additional safety measures in place, which we are more than happy to discuss.

We have a wide range of roles available, so if you have a few hours a week spare and would like to get involved please do register your interest or get in touch.

Volunteer for Dr Kershaw’s

Volunteers are an integral part of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and without them we wouldn’t be where we are today. We value each and every one of them, and their support makes such a big difference to our patients and their families.

Why Volunteer?

Our volunteers support the Hospice for many different reasons, and whatever your reason for volunteering, there really is something to suit everyone – whether you’re a student looking to develop skills, hoping to get some experience to help you land a new job or are retired and want to use your time well to support a good cause.

What Could You Volunteer as?

There are so many ways for you to give your time. How about regular shifts at the Hospice - whether on reception, serving refreshments, or even transporting patients. You could help us to raise money for patient care by assisting in one of our four shops or helping out at events.

Some of our volunteers have been with us for over 10 years and the variety of opportunities can make every day different.

Volunteers are a valuable part of Dr Kershaw’s and play an essential role across the Hospice, shops and community.

The gift of your time and skills can make a huge impact, and just a few hours can make a real difference, not only to the hospice and the patients, but also to yourself. Whether you are looking to give something back, gain transferable skills or meet new people, there are endless ways you can get involved.

Show you care, be amazing and become a Dr Kershaw’s volunteer today!
