Our Well-Being Centre offers support to people and their families living with cancer or an advancing chronic disease. We are advocates of dynamic palliative care and well-being and we are able to assist with symptoms and provide skilled psychological and emotional support.
Please note our Well-Being Centre is currently closed following the Covid-19 pandemic, as we redesign our offering of therapeutic activities. Our dedicated team are currently carrying out well-being phone calls to our patients.
We have a team of volunteers working alongside our dedicated staff to offer assistance throughout the day. The focus of our care is about well-being, our environment is welcoming and routines are flexible to allow for holistic individualised care.
A careful assessment of each patient's needs will be made by a member of the team and, together with other professionals involved in the patient's care, we will monitor and address those needs throughout attendance at the Well-Being Centre. After assessment, patients are guided into a service that most suits their needs.
Consideration and support is also offered to carers. We link closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team engaged in each patient’s care, and follow a strict code of confidentially.
The Team are currently redesigning our Well-Being Services offering to ensure that each person’s individual care needs are tailored to suit them.
The new services will include a range of activities and treatments and will provide a great way of meeting others within a supported environment.
