We have recently secured a huge £20,000 grant from The Albert Hunt Trust to support our domiciliary care team- Caring Hands. The funding will provide two vehicles, to afford Hospice’ staff with the necessary resources required to care for patients in their own homes, supporting the expansion of shift patterns and the notable increase in demand for our services.
Megan Riley, Trust, Foundations & Government Coordinator at the Hospice said: “A success always makes my day but this project has a special place in my heart, as my grandma received end-of-life care from the Caring Hands Team, so to secure such a large grant for the Team was an amazing achievement for me. We are so grateful to The Albert Hunt Trust for their continued support of Dr Kershaw’s and enabling us to enhance our service provision within the community"
Lindsey Harper, Hospice Lead Nurse for Clinical Services added: "We are delighted to receive this funding for our service, and extend our thanks to the Trustees of The Albert Hunt Trust. It has been quite emotional, as I know how much the support of the Caring Hands team meant to Megan and her family, and this will make such a difference to us and the people we care for!"
