At the end of last year, the Co-op chose to support Dr Kershaw’s over the next 12 months through their Co-op Local Community Fund. Co-op members get 2p back for every pound spent on selected products and services and the same goes to local good causes.
Darren Ramsden, Co-op Royton Manager, explained: “I am thrilled that Dr Kershaw’s are one of our local causes. The Hospice is known throughout our community to provide amazing and essential care at a time when people need it most. We all have our own personal stories from Dr Kershaw’s, I know I do, and it warms us to know we work for a company that gives back to our local communities.”
The Co-op also recently supported our Rose to Remember Appeal and were on hand at the recent Rose to Remember Open Garden Day, volunteering their time as well as providing refreshments for the event.
Rebecca Bentham, Director of Income Development and Marketing added: “We are thrilled with the support that the Co-op is giving us both through their Local Community Fund and during the Rose to Remember Appeal. We really couldn’t do what we do without organisations like the Co-op!”
