With Summer now in full swing, Booths Garden Centre on Turf Lane, Royton, contacted Dr Kershaw’s to provide a kind donation of bedding plants to further enhance the gardens at the front of the Hospice, which are maintained by a team of volunteer gardeners. Owned by brothers, Steve and Michael Booth, the garden centre also has a wishing well near their till for customers to drop in their loose change which has raised £340 in recent months, with all proceeds also going towards patient care at Dr Kershaw’s.
Steve said: “We’ve always been proud to support Dr Kershaw’s, it’s such a worthy local good cause. We are looking forward to sponsoring future Summer Fairs!”
Rebecca Bentham, the Hospice’s Director of Income Development and Marketing commented: “The help of local organisations is invaluable for our Hospice, we can’t thank Booths Garden Centre enough for their support!”
