Colorplas Team Take on Yorkshire 3 Peaks for Hospice in Memory of Colleague, Ian

2 Jul 2021

A team of twelve colleagues from local gelcoat and colourant manufacturer, Colorplas have joined together to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, supporting the Hospice where their friend and former colleague, Ian Mclean was cared for before he sadly passed away two years ago.

Rudi Ryan, Colorplas Project Manager explains: “Over the period of Ian’s palliative care at Dr Kershaw’s, Ian and his family were treated with respect, dignity, care and support. After Ian passed away, our close-knit friendship group were able to spend time with Ian in private without interruption which the Hospice kindly accommodated. We decided that the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge would be a fantastic opportunity to give something back to Dr Kershaw’s as a thank you for the care and support the Hospice gave Ian and his family.”

Hoping to raise an incredible £2,000 from their Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge which will be taking place on 17 July, Colorplas have also chosen Dr Kershaw’s as their official charity for 2021 with all funds raised from internal events like casual Friday’s and their monthly raffles going to the Hospice.

Three of the twelve team members including Rudi took part in the recent Saddleworth 3 Peaks training day hosted by the Hospice. Rudi added: “We are really looking forward to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge! The training day was great and we also host our own walking events which will prepare us for the day!”
