Dr Kershaw’s Hospice held another Well-Being Week at the end of last month, giving staff the opportunity to take some time out of their usual working day to take part in a number of workshops focused on wellness and mindfulness as well as being able to relax with a range of free complementary therapy treatments.
Hospice HR Advisor, Mandi Halton said: “We received excellent feedback from those who attended our Well-Being Week which gave each member of the team the opportunity to stop, take a breath and relax, along with helpful tips to continue this practice moving forward. We are now planning our next Well-Being Week, which will be taking place in the not too distant future.”
During the week, we also held our second Schwartz Round, an initiative which is part of our well-being package for staff, enabling those who attended to discuss the emotional impact of their work within a safe space, providing an opportunity for all staff from across the Hospice to share their experiences within a facilitated discussion.
PA to the CEO, Bev Schofield has been part of the team who are responsible for the launch and running of the Schwartz Rounds, she said: “The Schwartz Round was once again a great session, with a variety of staff taking part from across the Hospice. It was a great opportunity to share stories and experiences for those who attended.”
