Our Hospice Team came together to celebrate the Jubilee last week, with staff donning the nations colours of red, white and blue and homemade themed cupcakes on offer, topped off with a special Jubilee garden party for patients and their families at the weekend.
Senior Sister, Kelly Foster said: “Creating special memories for patients is key for us, the Jubilee has been such a big celebration across the country that we wanted our patients to feel part of it despite not being at home with their families. It was a lovely day for our patients and their families who enjoyed a buffet lunch and other Jubilee festivities.”
Louise Henderson, Marketing and Communications Manager added: “We pushed some of the celebrations forward to Wednesday 1st June with non-clinical staff not working on the bank holiday and it was great to see so many people get involved!”
