With 4-8 October marking Hospice Care Week, offering a chance for us all to celebrate the importance of hospice care nationwide, staff from Dr Kershaw’s came together to take part in various activities.
Kelly Foster, Senior Sister at Dr Kershaw’s said: “Hospice Care Week gives us all the opportunity to celebrate hospice care. Our team all came together, both clinical and non-clinical staff to take part in a yellow raffle and a dedicated Go Yellow day wearing yellow to raise funds for patient care. We also had a yellow quiz day, a yellow cake day and we asked staff, patients and their family members to complete a card with a message of what the Hospice means to them.”
Natwest in Oldham also showed their support for Dr Kershaw’s and Hospice Care Week, helping to raise vital funds for patient care. Carol Wilkinson, Branch Manager at Natwest said: “We chose to support Dr Kershaw’s Hospice as my mum received hospice care and with Natwest being based in Oldham close to Dr Kershaw’s, we wanted to help a facility that supports the whole community, with many of us touched by hospice care at one point in our lives.”
