Family Holiday for Hospice Lottery Winner

Barbara Midgley, had been a member of Dr Kershaw’s Weekly Lottery for over ten years, when she won the jackpot prize of £1,000. After Covid restrictions on travel and seeing family, Barbara was thrilled to use her winnings to treat her family to a holiday in Whitby, the first time they’d been away together in some time.
Barbara explained: “I joined Dr Kershaw’s Lottery after my friend was cared for at the Hospice. I now have two lines a week, each line only costs £1 a week, but I feel like I’m contributing to a good service, which we all might need to access at some point. I’d encourage anyone thinking of signing up to definitely do it, I couldn’t believe I won the £1,000 prize, which paid for a lovely family holiday, it was so nice to all be together. Dr Kershaw’s is such a relaxed and peaceful place, I wanted my dad to be cared for there but he was too poorly to move him, hopefully my small contribution will help others at the Hospice.”
