A Helping Hand from your Local Co-op

Dr Kershaw’s recently received a donation of £150 from Co-op Food in Royton, enabling us to buy the tableware and accessories needed for their ‘Look Good, Feel Good’ sessions which take place to support the Well-Being Centre patients who visit the Hospice.

The Co-op has also chosen to support Dr Kershaw’s over the next 12 months through their Co-op Local Community Fund. Co-op members get 2p back for every pound spent on selected products and services and the same goes to local good causes. To make Dr Kershaw’s your chosen charity visit membership.coop.co.uk/causes/61759 and to sign up as a new member visit: membership.coop.co.uk/new-registration

Darren Ramsden, Co-op Royton Manager, explained: “Thanks to our members, together we've raised £100 Million to support local communities through our Local Community Fund. We've doubled the amount we give to communities when our members shop with us. I am thrilled that Dr Kershaw’s are one of our local causes this year. The Hospice is known throughout our community to provide amazing and essential care at a time when people need it most. We all have our own personal stories from Dr Kershaw’s, I know I do, and it warms us to know we work for a company that gives back to our local communities.”

Lillie Winterbottom, Hospice Community Engagement Team Leader added: “We are thrilled that the Co-op has chosen to support Dr Kershaw’s both with their donation and as an ongoing community charity. Support from organisations such as these means so much and enable us to continue to provide dedicated end-of-life-care to our patients and support for their families across the community.”
