With Wednesday 30th March, marking National Doctor’s Day, the team at Dr Kershaw’s joined together to celebrate the day and to show appreciation to the team of doctors who provide specialist end-of-life care to so many at the Hospice.
We posted on social media and invited the community to join in the celebration: “Today we are celebrating National Doctor's Day at the Hospice and we are shining the spotlight on our incredible physicians and the difference that they make in the community and to people’s lives at Dr Kershaw's Hospice. Please join us in celebrating our team of wonderful Doctors, Dr Hohmann, Dr Campbell, Dr Mitchell, Dr Harkins and our Junior Doctor, Dr Coupe!”
Dr Patricia Campbell explains why she chose to become a doctor: “I wanted to study medicine since primary school. I’ve always loved science subjects, learning about the world around us, how things work, how we are put together. I feel privileged that my career choice allows me to provide specialist palliative care and support for patients and their families at what can be a difficult time in their lives. We have a fantastic team at the Hospice, caring as much for each other as we do for our patients.”
