Dr Kershaw’s has signed up to support Against Cancer’s Bra Bank Appeal, which helps to raise funds for research into secondary spread breast cancer.
The Hospice has now received our Bra Bank and are encouraging staff to recycle their used, new or surplus bras to raise vital funds, with every tonne of bras collected raising £700 to fund the research of Against Breast Cancer.
The scheme not only raises funds for the ground-breaking research, but keeps textiles out of landfill, as well as helping small businesses in Africa to sell the bras at affordable prices.
Adele Doherty, Director of Clinical Services at the Hospice said: “We are delighted to be involved in such a worthwhile project, at the Hospice we care for patients with secondary breast cancer, and this vital research could make such a difference to them and so many others.”
