Hospice’s HR Advisor, Mandi Takes on Lands End to John O’Groats Challenge

26 Feb 2021

Mandi Halton HR.jpgJoining Dr Kershaw’s in the middle of the pandemic, HR Advisor, Mandi Halton, decided to take on the Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) 874 mile challenge to raise funds for the Hospice where she now works.

The now virtual challenge, will see Mandi walk 874 miles before the year is out to support patient care at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

Speaking of her epic challenge, Mandi said: “I wanted a challenge to help keep me physically and mentally healthy after the year we’ve had and with normality still being uncertain. I chose to do my challenge in aid of Dr Kershaw’s after seeing firsthand the incredible work that our doctors, nurses and health care assistants do, and knowing that the Hospice, even more so in the pandemic relies on donations and fundraisers to be able to provide care for the many patients who need support across the community.”

With 122 miles under her belt in January alone, Mandi made a fantastic start in her first month of her year-long challenge. To support Mandi, visit her JustGiving page here.
