Dr Kershaw’s fundraiser, Kathryn Jackson, has supported the Hospice for over 25 years, and her most recent fundraising feat of raffling off one of her delicious Christmas cakes on Facebook raised £625, taking her individual fundraising total to an incredible £5,500 since the start of the pandemic.
Kathryn said: “When the first lockdown began I wanted to try and help Dr Kershaw’s as much as possible as a family member received excellent care at the Hospice 15 years ago. I’ve used Facebook for all my fundraising encouraging people to donate to the Hospice when they couldn’t have haircuts and raffling off my cakes. I’m thrilled my Christmas cake raffle raised so much, people have been so very kind and generous!”
Kathryn, who also supports the Hospice as a Weekly Lottery Member is Secretary of the Oldham and District Bowling League whose chosen charity is Dr Kershaw’s. In her position at the club, Kathryn has raised additional funds for the Hospice through bowling competitions each year.
