Kelly’s Christmas Fayre Raises £396 for Hospice

Dr Kershaw’s Health Care Assistant and fabulous fundraiser Kelly Burns changed her fundraising from virtual to actual as she once again supported the Hospice and local businesses. Last year, Kelly ran a virtual market, to support patient care at the Hospice. This year, Kelly ran her very own Christmas Fayre in aid of Dr Kershaw’s on Sunday 28th November, at North Chadderton Social and Bowling Club, with all proceeds donated to the Hospice.

Despite the heavy snow on the day making it harder to access the event, the fayre raised a fantastic £396 to support patients at the Hospice.

Kelly will be leaving her Health Care Assistant role in the New Year but is determined to continue to raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s, she said: “The Christmas Fayre was great, I was thrilled with the support despite the weather, and hope that it will be the first of many to raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. Thank you to North Chadderton Social and Bowling Club for supporting the event by giving us their facilities at no cost.”

Hospice Community Fundraiser, Barbara Lloyd added: “Thank you to Kelly for all her hard work and to each person who supported our Hospice by attending and buying items on what was a very cold, snowy day!”
