With Covid restrictions lifting further last month, we are pleased to announce that we have been able to welcome even more of their valued and dedicated volunteers back to the Hospice and have reintroduced their Pets as Therapy Volunteers back onto their In-Patient Unit to support patients and their family members.
Pets as Therapy Volunteer, Heather King and Cockapoo dog, Lottie have now returned, Heather said: “It’s amazing to be back, the staff have welcomed us with open arms. It’s been incredible to see patients and their families again and to see Lottie making such a difference to people, one gentleman was so emotional and happy to see Lottie, he had his photo taken with her and was so pleased we had visited him.”
