Dr Kershaw’s was recently presented with the 2021/22 Community Service Award from The Rotary Club of Oldham, in recognition of the contribution made to the local community by an organisation that goes above and beyond in their main area of work.
Joanne Sloan, Hospice CEO said: “We are incredibly proud to be chosen to receive this award. Club members were very impressed with the support given to patients and families at home through both our Hospice at Home and Caring Hands Teams who care for patients and support with personal care, help with symptoms and much more, making an important difference to so many in the community.”
Ray Coverley, Community Service Chairman and President Elect at The Rotary Club of Oldham added: “When I interviewed members of the Hospice team, it was evident what a wonderful job they do in the community, particularly caring for patients in their own homes. In the end Dr Kershaw’s was an easy winner for this year’s award.”
