Become the ultimate party planner and host your ‘Gin & Jammies’ soiree for your friends and family whilst helping to fundraise for patient care in Oldham

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice have launched ‘Gin & Jammies’, a brand new event for the community to take part in, to raise vital funds to support patients and their families across the borough of Oldham. The new fundraising event offers those who sign up the chance to host their very own ‘Gin & Jammies’ party in the comfort of their own home, with friends and family.

Grace Carr, the Hospice’s Digital Marketing and Events Executive and ‘Gin & Jammies’ event organiser explained: “Gin & Jammies is something I’ve wanted to launch since I started at the Hospice. Those who sign up will receive their very own ‘Gin & Jammies’ Fundraising Party Pack packed with cocktail and mocktail recipes, party games and fundraising tips. The next step is to set a date for your ‘Gin & Jammies’ party, invite your guests, get your jammies on and have fun, it’s a great way for friends to get together, have a great time and raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s!”

The new event offers an alternative for those who want to reunite with friends post-lockdown but want to avoid the busy nightlife of bars and pubs across the region, and also provides an option for a ‘Gin & Jammies’ Christmas night in, as opposed to going out.

Hospice Supporter and first fundraiser to sign up for their very own ‘Gin & Jammies’ party, Rebecca Holland said: “I’ve wanted to fundraise for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice for quite some time but couldn’t quite decide what to do. ‘Gin & Jammies’ is perfect and gives me the chance, now that restrictions have eased to get all my friends together without the hustle and bustle of bars or pubs, to have a fun night in whilst raising funds to help our local Hospice, who helps so many people across the local community. My friends have saved the date and I can’t wait to host what I hope will be the first of many ‘Gin & Jammies’ Party nights!”

The gin themed event, also offers those who sign up the opportunity to purchase Dr Kershaw’s very own newly launched gin, 1989, aptly named after the year that the Hospice itself was established. Made especially for the Hospice by the award winning, Defiance Gin Distillery, the brand new Dr Kershaw’s Gin, 1989, is a classic London Dry Gin, offering a specially crafted botanical flavour profile making it perfect for gin lovers. 1989 is now available to pre-order, by contacting the Hospice’s Fundraising Team on 0161 624 9984.
