With Global Recycling Day taking place tomorrow, Dr Kershaw’s took a moment to celebrate the day, and the benefits of sustainable fashion brought from selling second hand goods in their four stores.
Rebecca Bentham, Director of Income Development and Marketing said: “The fashion industry contributes to 8.1% of greenhouse gases and it is estimated that by 2030 there will be 148 million tons of fashion waste, but there are things that we can all do to help. By shopping in our charity shops and furniture store, not only are you helping to make the world a better place, you are also helping to support patient care in your local community as all proceeds from the shops go to our Hospice.”
The Hospice’s three shops in Royton, Lees and Shaw along with our furniture store, The Furniture Hub offer a wide selection of new and pre-loved fashion and furniture items, all at low prices.
